MASSIMILIANO CELESTE

Born at Verbania on January 25 1967, he holds a degree from the hotel and catering school of Ceres as catering operator, Massimiliano Celeste immediately started his cook carrier in many restaurants of the Adriatic Riviera, mastering ever more the cooking art. He went to Germany very young to work in many hotels and where he learned new techniques of food preparation and most of all new recipes and new dishes. After the German experience chef Massimiliano went to new places and, having reached the East, he was glad to get to know a multicultural context, with many chefs from many countries with different cooking origins. From the year 2000, back to Verbania, on lake Maggiore, he first managed the restaurant of a 4 star hotel in Pallanza, and then he became chef and owner of “Il Portale”, a restaurant on the lake, where he expressed his great creativity, passion and experimentation. A curious aspect of his cooking is the care for food allergy and intolerance.

 

The restaurant “Il Portale”, was awarded one Michelin star.
